Early this year showed at the Detroit, Nissan Pathfinder concept that had to be considered a realistic precursor to the fourth generation and later production model to follow. Actually, it appeared already to go to the showroom version, we now know. There is no difference between the concept and the Pathfinder at the dealers who will state. Nissan is brief information about the new Pathfinder, but we already know that the more modern SUV now will go through life. The old ladder chassis is no more and the Pathfinder can now consider its own monocoque chassis. This should not only benefit the off-road capabilities, but also the driving when not deviate from the beaten path.
Also, the optical Nissan Pathfinder friendlier on the retina, while the design is not radically changed. The model leans slightly more to the visual appearance of a crossover and can be less likely to recognize as true SUV. That the Pathfinder subcutaneous however stills a real workhorse is beyond dispute. Technical details are still missing but we expect again a V6 dci diesel in the fore, probably coupled with a CVT automatic. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder diesel is almost certainly back of the lot, just like the undoubtedly lower consumption and emissions. More information will follow.
